Our Story
A Local Auto Repair Shop Established in 1981
Joe Kaschak's Foreign & American Auto Clinic has been part of the Wilkes-Barre community since 1981. What began with a genuine love for automotive work has developed into 45 years of hands-on experience serving local drivers.
We are a locally established, family-run auto repair shop. Automotive work is more than simply a business to us. Our owner genuinely loves what he does and takes pride in the work that comes through our shop. He stays on top of the vehicles he works on and brings decades of practical experience to automotive service and repair.
That personal dedication remains an important part of how we operate today. When you bring your vehicle to us, you are working with a team that understands how important dependable transportation is to your daily life.
Built Around Pride In The Work.
Experience matters, but so does the care behind it. We stay involved, pay attention to details, and use practical automotive knowledge to evaluate the concerns our customers bring to us.
Our Experience
45 Years of Hands-On Automotive Experience
Vehicles have changed considerably since we opened our doors in 1981. Our commitment to careful, knowledgeable automotive service has remained constant.
A warning light, unusual noise, drivability problem, or performance change can have more than one possible cause. Our experience gives us a strong practical foundation for approaching those concerns carefully instead of assuming the answer before evaluating the vehicle.
Our experience covers inspections, drivability and emissions diagnostics, suspension concerns, automotive electrical work, underhood engine repair, general maintenance, and other confirmed automotive repair services.
Foreign Auto Repair Is Our Specialty
Foreign vehicles have long been an important part of our work. Our experience with foreign auto repair is one of the qualities that distinguishes Joe Kaschak's Foreign & American Auto Clinic.
If you own a foreign vehicle and want an experienced local auto repair shop in Wilkes-Barre, our team is here to help with our confirmed range of services. We bring decades of hands-on automotive knowledge to diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles.
We also service domestic vehicles. Whether you drive a foreign or American vehicle, you can contact our team to discuss your automotive needs. Our goal is to provide knowledgeable service across many vehicle types while maintaining the foreign auto repair expertise we have developed over the years.

Our Process
Our Approach To Automotive Service
Good automotive service starts with paying attention. We approach each vehicle based on its condition, symptoms, and service needs rather than making assumptions.
Listen to Your Concerns
You know when something feels different about your vehicle. We start by listening to what you have noticed and understanding why you brought the vehicle to us.
Evaluate the Vehicle
We consider the symptoms and evaluate the areas related to your concern. This gives us a better foundation for determining what may require attention.
Diagnose the Problem
Many automotive symptoms can have more than one possible cause. Proper diagnosis helps narrow down the problem before deciding what work may be appropriate.
Discuss the Service Need
We believe experience is most useful when it helps move you toward an appropriate repair decision. Our team can discuss the automotive concern and the work that may be needed.
Approach the Work With Care
We take pride in what we do. That means staying attentive to the vehicle and bringing our hands-on experience to the work in front of us.
